This inaugural consumer relevance conference successfully catalyzed Canada's leadership in global e-tourism through innovation and collaboration.

The Canada-e-Connect Strategy Conference attracted over 300 leaders, executives, experts, and entrepreneurs from all segments and verticals of the Canadian travel and tourism industry to sharing, collaborating, and determining what impacts the Internet and emerging technologies will have for Canada to compete globally as a tourism destination.

Canada-e-Connect focused on the future of travel and tourism marketing, and on leveraging the tools and technologies required to market Canadian travel experiences to the world. Consumer behaviour and online travel trends were addressed during the conference to discuss how the Canadian travel and tourism industry can apply this competitive knowledge into their marketing mix.

The conference was a unique opportunity in Canada for strategically sharing, learning, networking, and recognizing excellence within the Canadian travel and tourism arena.

The Canada-e-Connect e-Tourism Strategy Conference was also held in conjunction with the first ever Canadian e-Tourism Awards. The Canadian e-Tourism Council who also hosted and were judged the Canadian e-Tourism Awards represent a highly distinguished group of more than 50 strategy experts and e-commerce executives from the many sectors of the Canadian tourism industry.
